About the Event – A Three days boot camp training program on “Lean Start-Up & Minimum Viable Product/Business: Food Safety and Nutritional Security Analysis and Quality Control” was organised by the Institute Innovation Cell, CMP Degree College, University of Allahabad on 17-19th August 2023. The President and Chief Guest of the workshop was an Eminent Professor (Ex Head, Department of Chemistry, Ex-Dean Science and Ex-Director CDC), Dr. Jagdamba Singh. The Training Officer was Er. Sujit Kumar Singh and Key- notespeaker was Dr. Shankar Suwan Singh and their team were welcomed by Dr. Archana Pandey, Convener, Institute Innovation Cell, CMP Degree College, Prayagraj. An introductory speech about the IIC was given by Dr. Archana Pandey, Convener IIC. Er. Sujit kumar Singh has emphasized on ‘how in recent times, witnessing the massive rise of COVID-19 cases has made us realize the significance of testing in our daily lives especially when it comes to quality check of food that we consume. Dr Shanker Suwan Singh has emphasized his talk on entrepreneurship in the testing of dairy products. Whereas, Dr. Madhulika Singh, the training officer, said that fat is a macronutrient that provides energy. Dr. Madhulika’s team offered guidance and support as the students carried out each step of the experiment, ensuring accuracy and safety.

About Event:
The Institute Innovation Cell of CMP Degree College has organized an Innovation & Entrepreneurship Outreach Program in School of rural area. The program was organized for the senior secondary girls of Radha Krishna Adarsh Convent School, Soraon, Prayagraj under the supervision of President IIC and Principal of the College, Prof. Ajay Prakash Khare and Convenor IIC, Dr. Archana Pandey. The Co-convener of IIC and Innovation Ambassador, Dr. Himani Chaurasia with giving the introduction of the Institute Innovation Cell to the students also explains about New Education Policy – 2020, Innovation & Entrepreneurship, MoE’s Innovation Council, Yukti Portal, etc. and objectives, vision, mission and benefits of Institute Innovation Council/Cell in skill development/Innovation/Start-Up/Entrepreneurship. The Event Convenor, Dr Ruchika Varma told the students about the relevance of entrepreneurship especially in the context of women.

About the Event:
Institute Innovation Cell of CMP Degree College organized a one-day seminar on Accelerators/Incubation- Opportunities for Student & Faculties- Early Stage Entrepreneurs (Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Developing Societies) on 20th July 2023. The chief guest was Dr. Punita Bhatt, from Nottingham Business School, Nottingham University, UK. Dr. Bhatt gave very useful tips to students for starting enterprises in their cities. She told about the seven basic skills of entrepreneurship which are estimation, developing partners, selling strategies, trial and error in understanding the utility of the product, teamwork, failure and communication. She motivated students to think about new ideas related to human life problems and convert the proposed solution into an enterprise.

About the Event:
World Entrepreneur Day was celebrated by the Institute Innovation Cell of CMP Degree College on August 22, 2023 in hybrid (online/offline) mode. The keynote speaker of the event was Dr. Upendra Nabh Tripathi who presented and discussed about how to convert an innovation into a start-up. An entrepreneur is an individual who creates a new business, bearing most of the risks and enjoying most of the rewards. The process of setting up a business is known as entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurship is one of the resources economists categorize as integral to production, the other three being land/natural resources, labor, and capital. Innovation and creativity are often used synonymously. While similar, they’re not the same. Using creativity in business is important because it fosters unique ideas. This novelty is a key component of innovation. Innovation in business can be grouped into two categories: sustaining and disruptive. Dr. Tripathi discussed about nine steps which are essential for converting an innovation into a start up:- Start with a Great Idea, Make a Business Plan, Secure Funding for Your Startup, Surround Yourself With the Right People, Make Sure You’re Following All the Legal Steps, Establish a Location (Physical and Online), Develop a Marketing Plan, Build a Customer Base, Plan to Change.

About the Event:
An inter institutional start up idea competition “Start-up Ideathon” was organised by IIC (Institute Innovation Cell) and the Department of Zoology of C.M.P. Degree College, Prayagraj on 25thAugust, 2023. Dr. Nidhi Tripathi, Event Convener, started the session followed by Dr. Vinita Jaiswal, Convenor of Department of Zoology, who welcomed all the participants and Judges. Dr. Ashish Kumar Mishra, Event Convener, gave an overview and importance of the theme of this competition. Further Dr. Archana Pandey, IIC Convener, CMP Degree College discuss the importance and functioning of IIC. She enlightened the importance of Start-ups and government measures for initiating start-ups in the current scenario also. Further students presented their innovative start-up ideas and were evaluated by the three Judges Dr. Sudhi Srivastava, Dr. Manoj Kumar Jaiswal and Dr. Ajeet Kumar Singh. Out of the all the participants five best start-up ideas were recognised (2 first, 2 second and 1 third position). It provided a wonderful opportunity for students to ideate and innovate in a unique way under required guidance. The zeal, enthusiasm, and participation of the students made the activity a success. Overall, the session was very interactive and interesting.

About the Event:
An online Panel Discussion with Innovation and Startup Ecosystem Enablers from the Region/State/National/International Level was conducted under the aegis of IIC and DBT Star College Scheme at CMP Degree College in virtual mode. Four proprietors, Mr. Anil Kumar Shahi, Co-Founder Shahi Masala, Dr. Gaurav Krishana, Proprietor Advance Agri Solution, Dr. Saurabh Pandey, Founder and Chief Scientific Officer Databum, Switzerland, CEO Majestic India Pvt Ltd and Dr. Ashutosh Mishra, Proprietor Kamtech Pvt. Ltd., who are the alumni of our college, a discussion was held keeping in mind start-ups and entrepreneurship. Dr. Sarita Srivastava, Coordinator of DBT Star College Scheme and Vice President of IIC initiated yhe program in which all the proprietors shared their experiences, and also introduced with the paths to get fund for start-Ups.
